Faculty Spotlight: ACMRS Affiliate Francine McGregor

Francine McGregor is an Assistant Professor of English at West Campus' New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. She completed a PhD at the University of Connecticut, teaching at Eastern Illinois University and as a Visiting Professor at Harlaxton College in England before joining the faculty at ASU in 2015. She writes on late medieval British literature, particularly Chaucer and popular romance, with her current project, Equine Medicine, Popular Romance, and the Undoing of Human Exceptionalism in Late Medieval England, exploring intersections between medieval veterinary manuals and fifteenth-century vernacular literature. She teaches courses in British medieval literature, Chaucer, Arthurian literature, and gender studies.

Any spare time is spent cleaning up after, and occasionally riding, two off-track Thoroughbreds who share the household.
