DaVinci – The Genius Exhibition

SPECIAL RECEPTIONS AND LECTURES – TWO DAYS ONLY -
April 12, and April 13, 2013
Centuries after his death, Leonardo Da Vinci brings together two ground-breaking institutions, the Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS) and the Arizona Science Center, for a-once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For two days only - April 12th and 13th - Pascal Cotte, esteemed French engineer and inventor of the cutting edge multi-spectral digitizing camera used to uncover secrets of the Mona Lisa and other masterpieces, will visit and lecture at the Arizona Science Center.
Cotte, is a key member of the international team of experts who have brought DaVinci’s most important and inventive works to life through this exhibition. With exclusive access to DaVinci’s Mona Lisa, he was able to discover the 25 Secrets of the Mona Lisa…and more; shades of the actual pigments, stripping away centuries of varnish and attempted restorations - see how the Mona Lisa appeared when it left the master’s hand. See two codices – illustrations and notes written by Leonardo daVinci and so much more.
