Eligibility and Financial Aid

There is a minimum 2.0 GPA requirement. To view complete program details and requirements, please see the Medieval and Renaissance Studies in Oxford Program Brochure on the ASU Study Abroad website. Preference is given to students taking courses for credit or taking research hours. If more applications are received than there is space to accommodate, selection will be based on additional criteria including the student's class level and grade point average.

ASU Students

Open to all ASU undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of major.

Arizona Students

Open to non-ASU students (proof of measles immunization required). Before applying to the Oxford Study Abroad program, a prospective student must apply to ASU as a non-degree student, either graduate or undergraduate depending on student status, and be accepted.

Out-of-State and International Students

Open to students from other universities (proof of measles immunization required). Before applying to the Oxford Study Abroad program, students from out of state must apply to ASU as a non-degree student, either graduate or undergraduate depending on student status, and be accepted. Tuition and fees are the same for both Arizona residents and non-residents for the purposes of this program.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Financial aid may be used for overseas study. Students must apply through their own university. ASU Study Abroad Office offers a number of scholarships to Study Abroad students based on merit and need. Apply directly through the ASU Study Abroad Office.

ACMRS Oxford Travel Grant

The Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (ACMRS) will be offering two $1000 scholarships per year. Students must have already applied for the ACMRS Oxford Study Abroad program in order to be eligible for this scholarship. Only students who have confirmed their place on the program can receive the award. Award will be decided on a need/merit basis (GPA, essay, and student financial information). The application deadline is February 1 of each year and applicants will be notified by February 15 of each year. Click here to apply

Special Considerations

Students should be aware that many of the mandatory excursions will involve vigorous walking, sometimes on uneven ground, climbing stairs, and negotiating crowded cobbled streets or the London Underground. Participants should be willing and prepared to adapt to a different environment and culture.
